MANSFIELD GROUP'S TRIP TO LAKE VRYNWY ON 4TH MAY 2008

It was a long journey to the above Reserve but well worth it. A comprehensive list of birds were seen, including two Red Kites and a large number of migrants:

Two Red Kites! Grey Heron, Canada Goose, Mallard, Buzzard, Peregrine Falcon, Pheasant, Wood Pigeon, Cuckoo, Swift, Swallow, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Tree Pipit, Dipper, Wren, Robin, Redstart, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, Garden Warbler, Blackcap, Wood Warbler, Chiff Chaff, Willow Warbler, Goldcrest, Pied Flycatcher, Long Tailed Tit, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Jay, Magpie, Jackdaw, Rook, Carrion Crow, Raven, House Sparrow, Chaffinch, Siskin, Linnet, Lesser Redpoll, Bullfinch.
