However, we observed a total of 61 species - possibly more seen by other members, and had a superb Autumnal day weather wise. Unfortunately, it is not good days like this that bring in the rarer migrant birds.
These are the species we saw:
Little Grebe, Gannet, Cormorant, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Mute Swan, Pink Footed Goose, Barnacle Goose, Brent Goose, Shelduck, Kestrel, Merlin, Hobby, Grey Partridge, Pheasant, Water Rail, Coot, Moorhen, Ringed Plover, Golden Plover, Lapwing, Knot, Sanderling, Dunlin, Ruff, Black Tailed Godwit, Whimbrel, Curlew, Redshank, Turnstone, Arctic Skua, Black Headed Gull, Common Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Herring Gull, Great Black Backed Gull, Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Stonechat, Blackbird, Redwing, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Magpie, Rook, Carrion Crow, Starling, House Sparrow, Tree Sparrow, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Linnet, Snow Bunting and Reed Bunting.
