East London Birders Forum (ELBF)
East London Birders Forum was set up in August 1997 as a forum for local birders to network more easily and to accumulate data on the local avifauna and most importantly to promote the importance of local patch birding. It has evolved somewhat over the last ten years with the creation of our website and our continued involvement in local events and surveys. East London Birders Forum has become an information hub for the local area and relies on your records and photos to keep things fresh and up to date.
Friends of Tottenham Marshes (FoTM)
The Friends of Tottenham Marshes was set up in the summer of 2005 to act as custodians of Tottenham Marshes. Our aims are to promote the marshes as a valuable and enjoyable green space for the whole community and to protect and respect the environment and the wildlife that depends upon it. A monthly bird survey is carried out on the marshes (usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning) and all members are very welcome to accompany us.

This link takes you straight to the programme of events for the London Natural History Society. They often have bird walks headed 'Ornithology' at places which are fairly close to our local area (as well as further afield).
Redbridge Birdwatching
The London Borough of Redbridge holds a wealth of birdlife, much of which goes largely unnoticed. From breeding Tawny Owls to wintering flocks of Golden Plover that are sometimes among the largest in the south east. This blog is to aid local birders and to track the bird population, number of breeding birds and bird movements in Redbridge Borough. Daily sightings are listed, & monthly summaries are sent out by email.
Wanstead Wildlife
A compendious source of information on wildlife in the southern edge of Epping Forest, especially Wanstead Park and Wanstead Flats.
The Wren Conservation and Wildlife Group
The Wren Conservation and Wildlife Group includes people who have an interest in learning about and conserving wildlife in East London - mainly in Wanstead Park and nearby parts of southern Epping Forest but also in surrounding areas and neighbouring parts of Essex. Members have collected and recorded information about the wildlife of the area, which has been used to publish reports on the birds and flora of southern Epping Forest and to advise our members, other groups and the Conservators of Epping Forest of wildlife activity in the area. They also do practical work - pond clearing, ditch digging, tree planting, litter clearing - mostly in Wanstead Park.
