Osprey in larch tree

New Season's Programme

The organisation of the new programme is now complete and available under "Events". The birdwatching trips include a visit to Paxton Pits in spring which should give us sightings of nightingales. We are also looking forward to perhaps seeing bittern at Potteric Carr and nesting osprey at Rutland Water in June 2010. Speakers have been chosen for our indoor meetings and they include some old favourites and some new finds. The talk by Ian Rowlands last year was so popular we have invited him back again this year. He is talking about "Scottish Isles" and as a co-founder of the highly successful Speyside Wildlife he knows Scotland well and we can promise an exceptional evening's entertainment. The Bins and Boots Walks arranged by Reg Davies, as always, also include local favourite sites and some reserves this compiler has not yet visited. These friendly relaxed walks are certainly something to look forward to.
If you are interested in taking part in our outside activities but do not have binoculars, we have three pairs to lend on a first come basis for the duration of the activity
