Besides the regular indoor meetings, coach trips and Bins and Boots Walks, members of the local RSPB group also take part in less regular but hugely enjoyable weekends-away organised by Jenny Wright. So, while golfing fans were concentrating on the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor hoping for birdies, eagles and albatrosses, twelve birdwatchers from the Stoke-on-Trent area were making their way through the rain for a weekend on the Gower Peninsula hoping to see a different sort of bird. More...
