Bins and Boots - Greenway Bank Country Park

Goosander on water

Tuesday, 27 January 2009

15 intrepid group members braved flood and road diversions, to enjoy a two hour stroll around the two reservoirs at Greenway Bank Country Park . We were rewarded with sightings of 32 species, highlights being a gaggle of 19 goosander and a mixed flock containing siskins, redpolls and a great spotted woodpecker. The red listed, marsh tit, relatively common in this area also made a welcome appearance.
