Indoor Meeting - Hedgehogs

Tuesday, 5 September 2006

When Yvonne Cox opened her talk with puppets instead of slides I had a strange feeling that this was not going to be a good start to the season. Wrong, as usual. With humour and great skill, she got us thinking about the havoc we can cause by thoughtlessly discarding a variety of packaging. Moving on to the life-cycle of hedgehogs we learned the bad and, of course, the good things we can do to help them in our gardens. The talk ended with PK, a blind hedgehog (which we have now "adopted") being shown to the audience. A different and interesting evening after all.
