Galapagos Islands

Everyone knows that the birds on these islands are special because of their evolutionary uniqueness, so Martin Green developed his talk to include as much else about the islands themselves as possible. Indeed, we learned quite a bit about the rest of Ecuador in the process.
Martin spent some time explaining the role of the local rangers and their efforts to protect the landscape whilst encouraging tourism. And, of course, the photos were stunning.
