Group Visit: Whitlingham: Owl Pellet Dissecting

On Saturday 16 January we had planned to count the wildfowl on the large Whitlingham broad. Unfortunately the weather was very windy and pouring with rain so we decided to dissect some owl pellets. The children thoroughly enjoyed dissecting the owl pellets. The example photo shows some of the bones that were removed from just one owl pellet. Gruesome stuff!
