On Saturday the 19th of July we went to Hickling Broad with the Nuthatches. When we arrived we were first to go out on the boat and the guide told us about one of the islands and where they use to have picnics years ago. We went into a hide where we saw mallard duck and duckling, lapwing, tern and Canada geese, we then went along onto the waterways and saw grey heron, marsharrier, moorhen, coot and a hobby. We went onto an island and up a tall look-out post. We could see miles around us including windmills, the sea and over the marsh land. When we got off the boat walking back we saw moths, butterflies, dragonflies and ponies which they have to graze the land. We had our picnic then me and my cousins went exploring.
