Injured Birds or Fledglings

Like the RSPB, the NWSurrey RSPB Group is not an animal welfare society and is therefore not in a position to take-in or care for injured birds.

If birds are found and are injured then contact should be made either to the RSPCA, local vet or a local Animal welfare centre such as Wildlife Aid. Tel - 09061 800 132 or The Swan Sanctuary Tel: 01932 - 240790. If young birds or fledglings are found and are thought to be uninjured then their best chance of survival is to be left where adult birds can find them and bring them food.

NWSurrey RSPB Group Needs Your Help

The NWSurrey RSPB Group can only operate with volunteers to make our regular meetings and field trips a success and to raise funds for the RSPB.

If you would like to be part of a local group interested in watching and protecting birds, please let us know as we would love you to join us. Similarly if you would like to help further, the Group is always looking for volunteers to assist whether it be helping to prepare for evening meetings, serving refeshments or joining the committee to help plan events.
