South East Bird News
Birdline South East is updated up to 25 times per day and provides news from Hampshire to Kent and Berkshire to Essex with an overlapping zone into adjoining counties. It is run by Chris Heard and Jerry Warne who each average over thirty years of birding experience in south-east England. During this time they have gained an intimate knowledge of the birds, the sites and a lot of the individual birders in the region.
Portsdown Hill
Portsdown is a ridge of chalk that lies to the north of Portsmouth Harbour on the South Coast of England. Due to its remaining chalk grassland habitat, most of the south face is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest)

Brent Lodge Bird and Wildlife Trust is a wildlife hospital. The trust, founded in 1978, is located near to Chichester in the South of England. Brent Lodge is dedicated to the treatment, rehabilitation and release of injured wild birds and mammals.The Trust's policy is to ensure that as many patients as possible are rehabilitated and successfully released back into the wild.Brent Lodge regularly takes patients from an area extending in excess of 40 miles. Exceptionally, patients are brought to us from as far afield as Kent, London, and the Isle of Wight.
