Coach Trip to Norfolk

Saturday, 3 February 2007
North Norfolk is always a popular trip for land-locked West Midlanders and our coach to Titchwell in February was almost full. The weather was glorious and Titchwell didn't disappoint with the usual wide range of waders and wildfowl present. We had intended to move on to Holkham but the lure of a lesser yellowlegs in nearby Thornham proved a stronger draw. Happily everyone was able to see this North American wader at close quarters and with most people also having excellent views of barn owl (a rarity in the West Midlands) our day was judged a great success.
