We hold monthly indoor meetings between September and May in St George's Church Hall in Fordington which is close to Dorchester town centre. Meetings are usually on the third Thursday of the month and run from 7.30pm to about 9.45pm. A modest entrance fee is charged to cover costs of speakers and the hall (Currently £2.50). There is a carpark.
We also hold field trips between September and May plus a trip to see and hear nightjars in June. In most months there is midweek and a weekend trip which are car-based with members sharing wherever possible, although public transport may be used for some local trips. Do not worry if you are new to birdwatching as there is always an experienced leader for the field trips and plenty of people who love to share their knowledge! It is a fantastic way to learn about birds.
