Disabled Birders Association
Mission statement: - The Disabled Birders Association is established to promote sensitivity towards disabled birders special needs, by able-bodied birders, parks and reserves, birding and ornithology organisations, and equipment and service providers. Cheshunt Natural History Society
CNHS is the natural history society for the middle Lee Valley and south-east Herts area and caters for all who have an interest in the flora and fauna of Hertfordshire.Indoor meetings are held from September to April in Goffs Oak, and there are regular outdoor meetings, both in the local area and further afield.
Good Nature Gifts by the RSPB
A fun `virtual giving' catalogue with a serious purpose. Instead of sending an actual gift, you can now send a card with a voucher enclosed to a friend or relative, explaining how you have helped the environment on their behalf. You could send the gift of a `fish supper', the re-introduction of the Bitterns favourite fish in the areas where they live, for £12. Local Walks
Monthly local walks are held in the Lee Valley Park on Wednesday mornings, from October to May each year, aimed at those wishing to improve their skills and knowledge. These walks are led by Terry Smith, Group Leader. A donation of £3 for RSPB funds is requested for each walk, for more details please send a SAE, to Terry Smith, ref W, 31 Marle Gardens, Waltham Abbey, Essex EN9 2DZ.The site gives details of the programme and has reports from previous walks etc.
