Quiz & Hanningfield Trip
Our Annual General Knowledge Quiz was held yesterday evening, 4th February. Over 100 supporters braved the elements and enjoyed the Olympic themed quiz, set by Toby Spencer - not all were sports questions, for example one question in the Boxing round was 'who sang the song 'The Boxer' (answer: Simon & Garfunkel)
The teams were allowed to play their joker after a round, if they thought they had done OK, which proved interesting. Geoff Brown was our master of ceremonies, with help from Jenny Brown, Toby Spencer, Helena Spencer, Ann Smith & Terry Smith. Many thanks to Geoff, Jenny & Helena who helped with the food and to all who helped with the setting up of the hall and clearing it afterwards. We raised over £750 for the RSPB and had a very good evening as well! Make a note for 2013 - the date will be February 2nd, tickets will be on sale from October 2012.
HANNINGFIELD TRIP
The car trip to Hanningfield was cancelled due to the bad weather and in fact, the reserve is closed today, Sunday, as the approach roads are too treacherous.
