Our annual car trip to Abberton and Tollesbury

Phil Blatcher led todays visit to Abberton Reservoir and Tollesbury.

The weather was dry and sunny all day with light westerly breeze, max temperature, 8 deg C.

25 Members joined this car outing today and the group saw 82 species:-

Highlights:

Abberton:
Red-necked grebe (1), little egret (1), goosander (18), smew (4), black-tailed godwit (1), stock dove.

Tollesbury:
Black throated diver (1), red throated diver (2), slavonian grebe (3), pintail (4), marsh harrier (1), peregrine (1), avocet (100+), knot (several), barn owl, stonechat, corn bunting.
