Morning walk around Cornmill Meadows

Terry Smith led this walk on a dry, overcast morning, very mild for late October. 11 supporters joined Terry & Ann on this walk and 34 sp were seen.

We had very good views of green woodpeckers feeding in the grassy areas. A flock of siskins, with some goldfinches, were found amongst the alders.

34 Species were seen:

Wigeon, gadwall, teal, mallard, shoveler, kestrel, pheasant, moorhen, coot, lapwing, snipe, black-headed gull, woodpigeon, collared dove, green woodpecker, great spotted woodpecker, pied wagtail, wren, dunnock, robin, blackbird, fieldfare, goldcrest, long-tailed tit, great tit, blue tit, treecreeper, jay, magpie, carrion crow, chaffinch, greenfinch, goldfinch and siskin.

Other wildlife:

Fallow deer, grey squirrel
