Morning walk at Fishers Green

Ann Smith led todays walk, on a very wet morning, although still quite mild for the start of November.

4 members braved the very wet morning to join Ann on this walk, visibility was very poor at times and only the ducks seemed to appreciate the conditions! We had good views of wigeon close to the weir, and good numbers of gadwall and tufted duck were seen.

Total Species Recorded: only 29

Little grebe, great crested grebe, cormorant, mute swan, greylag goose, canada goose, wigeon, gadwall, teal, mallard, shoveler, pochard, tufted duck, moorhen, coot, lapwing, black-headed gull, lesser black-backed gull, woodpigeon, great spotted woodpecker, wren, robin, blackbird, long-tailed tit, blue tit, magpie, jackdaw, carrion crow and chaffinch.
