Morning fund-raising walk at Fishers Green

14 supporters joined Terry & Ann on this fundraising walk on a mild, dry, overcast morning.

Highlights:
Good views of a drake pintail in the channel, at least 6 singing song thrushes, siskins feeding on the Alders and small flocks of redwing perched and flying overhead. A pair of great crested grebes were displaying on 70 Acres lake, but when they dived together only one of them found some weed so they lost interest!!

A total of 46 species were seen:
Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Mute Swan, Greylag Goose, Canada Goose, Egyptian Goose, Wigeon, Gadwall, Mallard, Teal, Shoveller, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Goldeneye, Pintail, Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard, Pheasant, Moorhen, Coot, Lapwing, Black-headed Gull, Common Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Woodpigeon, Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Fieldfare, Song Thrush, Redwing, Cetti's Warbler, Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Treecreeper (H), Magpie, Jackdaw, Crow, Chaffinch & Siskin.
