Trip reports
Exe Estuary 18th February 2007

Wednesday, 9 May 2007
On this occasion our visit to the Exe included a boat trip up and down the estuary. This allowed us sightings of thirteen wader species, including avocet, greenshank and grey plover plus black-tailed and bar-tailed godwit. We also saw goldeneye and red-breasted merganser and, at one point, we were entertained by a seal feeding in the lower part of the estuary. As on previous boat trips the weather was dry but very cold so the presence of a heated lower deck on the boat was appreciated by many of the group.
