Trip reports
Bempton and Flamborough 15th April 2007

Thursday, 10 May 2007
This trip was so popular that some of the group had to travel up by car. On the day we enjoyed good weather but, whilst the gannets, guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes were readily visible at Bempton, the puffins were more elusive with few individuals seen. An unexpected sighting was brambling, seen at the feeder station along with chaffinch, linnet, tree sparrow and yellowhammer. Several hardy souls braved the walk from Bempton to Flamborough but most of the group took advantage of the motor transport to get to Flamborough. As well as the expected seabirds a black redstart was seen along with skylark, meadow pipit and swallow.
