Cheddar Reservoir - 26 January 2008

Male goldeneye

Saturday, 26 January 2008

THE MOST recent field meeting of the group took place at Cheddar Reservoir when thirteen members led by Eric Luxton took advatage of brilliant light conditions but had to endure a bitterly cold wind whistling across the top of the exposed reservoir.
The effort proved to be very worthwhile with close views of great northern diver, a pair of scaup, black-necked gree, four goldeneye and a selection of other wildfowl including tufted duck, wigeon, pochard and goosander.
