Tree planting at Broadwater Warren will help our dormice
The RSPB had a tree-planting training day at Broadwater Warren for our work party volunteers. RSPB met the cost of the training but the 50 trees planted on the day were generously donated by Diana Bideleux and Barbara Bentall, long term supporters of the RSPB and our local Tonbridge group. The Oak, Rowan, Hazel, Sallow, Hawthorn, Spindle, and Blackthorn will be great for our resident dormice many other species.
Diana and Barbara were both able to come along to take part and see their trees going in. The photo shows them with the tree surgeon, Sam Jarrah Moon, who ran the training day.
