Cuckoo perched in tree

Saturday's the 14th weather was pleasant although it was thought that a 3pm start was too early. Highlights were woodcock, cuckoo, redpoll, woodlark and tree pipit. Nightjar were also heard but not seen! Unfortunaltly on our second outing, Wednesday 18th the group saw neither woodcock or nightjar.
