Awards for All

The Group has been given an Awards for All grant of just under £2000 by the Big Lottery Foundation. This will enable us to buy digital projector equipment and a film scanner for use at indoor meetings and for the community talks on bird conservation and the environment given by John Britten and other Group members. John was especially delighted as this new equipment will enable him to update his slide presentations and include the latest RSPB audio-visual material. It will add a new perspective to the 40 or so talks he gives each year to ladies clubs, church groups, children's groups, care homes and special groups including the disabled and those in rehabilitation. We plan to use the equipment for audio-visual shows at our forthcoming recruitment event on June 27-28 at Sainsbury's Supermarket at the Dome Roundabout, weather permitting.
