New Season- New Venue

We are moving to a new venue with plenty of parking. The season begins with a talk by Neil Renwick on 14th September. We have a varied programme of outings too. Some of these have limited numbers of places so early booking is advised. You can download a booking form here.

Winners ( and a new competition)

The entertaining quiz which Steve Bowen organised was won by:
1. Jenny Hill, David Evans, Janet Moore and Russell Axtell. 2. John Britten, Dave Gascoyne, David Spivack and Barry Turner. 3. Philip and Marilyn McGovern, Brain and Valerie O'Riordan.

The photo competition judged by Andy Robertson and David Spivack was won by David Evans with a picture of a gannet. In second place John Anthony with a baby kestrel. Third Ken Miller's robin. Fourth Elizabeth Gower - Great Blue Heron in Florida. Fifth Doug Cooper's female redstart. The audience vote went to Barry Turner's striated heron from Gambia.

All these and a selction of others will appear in our 2012 calendar which will be on sale in the autumn.
