The weather was much better than expected and we had excellent views of two water rails, a group of reed buntings feeding on the ground, a goldcrest and many gulls including a yellow legged gull. We saw our first fieldfares for this winter. We also had a very close view of a muntjac deer which, unable to get through a fence, galloped past us!
