About us
The RSPB, West Cumbria Local Group extends a warm welcome to all interested in birds and their welfare. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month from September to April and organise outings monthly from September to May. We also undertake voluntary work at Campfield Marsh nature reserve near Bowness on Solway and help with the Lake District Osprey partnership project at the Forestry Commission's Dodd Wood and Whinlatter Visitor Centre. The group is active in raising funds through local coffee mornings and the sale of RSPB goods. We also hold a stall at local events.
Meeting times and costs
7.30pm. RSPB Members £2.00, Local Group Members FREE, Non RSPB Members £2.00, Children 50p. Membership of the group is open to all, whether RSPB members or not, at £4.00 per person, or £5.00 per household. This provides free admission to indoor meetings.
