Recycling Success

Recycling Success

Group Treasurer, Roger Hayes has appealed for used postage stamps, printer cartridges and old mobile phones which can be recycled in aid of RSPB funds. Anyone with such items can give them to Roger at any indoor meeting of the Group or to any committee member at any time.

Roger said, "It is a particularly good time to save used postage stamps as most of the Christmas Cards you will receive will have stamps on the envelope. Please do not try to remove them as the adhesive used now makes this almost impossible. Simply cut round them with a pair of scissors leaving a small margin, take great care not to cut the perforation as this renders them valueless.

All printer cartridges are acceptable, except Epson. Also any make of mobile phone.

Since the collections began the RSPB has raised over £11,200 from the collections of postage stamps and nearly £250,000 from mobile phones and printer cartridges, so as you can see it is well worthwhile."
