Christmas Social Evening 2009

The group held its first photographic competition as well as the annual quizzes and food feast provided by the members. The subject of the photographic competition was 'UK Natural History' and nearly 30 entries were submitted. Each member voted on their top three entries, which was very difficult, as the standard of the entries was very high. Subjects included birds, landscapes, moths, mammals and fungi. The members voted the swallow pictured on the post as the favourite entry. We plan to run the competition again next December, so make sure you have your camera with you when you are out and about.
