Christmas Social Evening 2011

The weather was kinder for us this year for our Christmas Social evening with rain rather than snow and ice of last year. An excellent turnout of members started the evening viewing the members photographs for our seemingly now annual competition. The standard of entry was very high, making it very difficult for the members to vote for their favourite. However a winner was selected with a photo of ruff taken by Ken White.
Members then studied pictures of British castles to test their knowledge, Pembroke Castle was the one least identified. Tony Hayward further tested everyone's knowledge with a pub style quiz, the bird related section turned out to be the most testing. Members each brought along a plate of food to provide for an excellent buffet, with drinks being provided for by the committee.
