Blithfield Reservoir

Male lapwing in breeding habitat

A reservoir which regularly sees less common ducks, waders, divers and grebes and occasional unusual passerines. Red Throated Diver, Black Redstart and Slavonian Grebe were all recorded in early 2008. Access to this venue is partly public around the causeway and perimeter track, and partly by West Midland Bird Club permit around the dam area and through the woodlands.
