Group Weekend Trip to Yorkshire

Puffin with sandeels in beak

Thursday, 24 May 2007

18 members have just returned from a highly successful and enjoyable visit to Yorkshire. The Group visited a wide variety of habitats including those at Old Moor, Bolton Abbey, Nidderdale, Bempton Cliffs, Blacktoft Sands and, on the return journey, Clumber Park which enabled them to see approximately 115 species of bird, including some unusual finds. Many thanks to Gerry for his comprehensive arrangements and to Norman for his smooth driving.
The Group enjoyed great birds, good food, fantastic scenery and marvellous company. A full report will appear in our Autumn Magazine.
