What are social bookmarks?

Social bookmarking is a way for internet users to share interesting web content with others.

At the foot of each news story, you'll see a button labelled 'Share this story'. Click on it and you'll be offered several websites to 'share' the story with. Each site varies, but typically clicking the link will submit a 'vote' for the story, or post it to your profile.
