We've teamed up with leading green energy company Ecotricity to fight climate change, protect wildlife and safeguard habitats.
Climate change is one of the biggest threats to wildlife, and we want the UK to stick to its target for 15 per cent of energy supply to come from renewable sources by 2020. It's a massive task, but everyone can help by reducing their own carbon footprint.
Ecotricity wants to change the way that energy is made and used in the UK. The energy that powers our homes and businesses is our biggest single source of emissions – accounting for around a third of the nation's carbon emissions. Ecotricity powers over 70,000 homes and businesses in the UK from its fleet of 55 windmills.
We have chosen to partner with Ecotricity because we recognise their commitment to building new sources of green energy. As a not-for-dividend company, Ecotricity can spend its money on building new sources of green energy. Over the last nine years it has spent, on average, 66p* from every pound billed per customer on new projects to harness energy from the wind and sun.
If you switch your electricity and gas over to Ecotricity, they'll make a donation to help our conservation work!
Switching to Ecotricity is the single biggest thing you can do to tackle climate change - and it's also the easiest. Call free on 08000 302 302 - just quote RSPB at the time of booking or visit their website.
**The offer of the £60 donation is conditional on you switching your dual fuel electricity and gas supply to Ecotricity. The donation will be £40 if you switch just your electricity supply, or £20 if you just switch your gas supply.
