Fowlmere

A hands-on educational adventure set in a wildlife oasis of woodland, wetland and meadow

Eight miles south-west of Cambridge, near the borders of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex lies a world waiting to be explored.

Fowlmere is truly a wildlife oasis - full of dragonflies, butterflies, orchids, bird life, and even deer and badgers!

Let your pupils explore woodland, wetland and meadow habitats. See what they find in the reedbeds and pools fed by natural springs, or in the crystal clear chalk stream which flows through the reserve - and all within easy walking distance of the reserve entrance!

With safe access along boardwalks and pathways, an environment rich in wildlife, and activities led by our trained field teachers this is an ideal site for group visits.

Boy looking for beasties!

Super - we shall come back again next year!
