Make a home for wildlife
It is well worth considering creating a boggy area as a feature in your wildlife garden. It can form part of your wildlife pond, but doesn’t have to be – any permanently damp area will suffice.
There are plenty of beautiful plants that do not do well in open water, but thrive in a bog garden, eg purple loosestrife, marsh marigold and water mint.
Ponds and wetlands created together attract more wildlife than each habitat on its own.
