In the moth trap: 1 poplar hawkmoth, 1 white ermine, 1 clouded bordered brindle, 10 small square spots.
Still nice and sunny, but with a cool north easterly wind, meaning a lack of moths in the trap this week. Hopefully the direction will change soon and we'll start seeing some activity from the moths on the reserve. On the bird front:
On/around the Aird Meadow: 1 cormorant, 1 grey heron, 4 mute swans, 7 mallards, 1 lesser black backed gull, 5 swifts, 2 swallows, 2 blackbirds, 1 song thrush, 3 carrion crows, 2 spotted flycatchers, 2 treecreepers, 2 bullfinch and 2 starlings.

The feeding station has become quite quiet, as most birds are busy with nests and chicks now, and with the warm weather as well, there is plenty of natural food out and about on the reserve. However, there were still some interesting sightings.
At the feeding station: 2 greenfinch, 1 robin, 4 male and 1 female mallard, also 1 female with 7 ducklings (they seem to be haging on now!) 2 starlings, 1 chaffinch and 1 male great spotted woodpecker. Also on the reserve, 1 common blue damselfly and a grey heron.
