About

Warwickshire is a county 'on the up' for wildlife, gazing out over the patchwork fields, you will see a landscape buzzing with bees, bugs and birds.

The south of the county is regionally important for its farmland bids such as the tree sparrow and lapwing, and farmers here team up with us to make wildlife a home on their land.

Water means wildlife in Warwickshire, so wander the rivers, canals and reservoirs, such as Draycote, to see stately swans, dabbling ducks and perhaps even an osprey passing through! Middleton Lakes, a new wetland nature reserve in north Warwickshire, will open soon.

You can even get involved yourself, by joining a local group or Wildlife Explorers club for children and young people. Apparently, Shakespeare himself was a keen birdwatcher!
