Green grows the economy

The RSPB promotes the importance of the environment to sustainable economic development.

The environment plays a significant role in our economy. The Aldersgate Group Report - Green Foundations 2009 (which can be downloaded from the side of this page) describes the benefits of better regulation to higher environmental standards. The RSPB is a member of the Aldersgate Group.

Environmental regulation can be a driver of sustainable economic growth by stimulating the efficient use of scarce environmental resources.
