Survey and monitoring
To try to understand the effects that management has on the lagoons and the species they support, we survey and monitor all sites across in project.
The same variables are measured in each case water levels, salinity levels, invertebrates, the numbers of bird species nesting and their productivity. The analysis of this information will help shape future management.
We also monitor, fox activity, lagoon organic content, and the rate of vegetation encroachment, and is used at a site level to inform management decisions.
