Our education work complements our core conservation work, enabling us to inspire audiences about birds and other wildlife, to learn about conservation issues and to take positive action for the environment.

We believe that sustainable development principles must lie at the core of the education system such that all educational establishments become vibrant showcases of sustainability among the communities they serve.  We seek to influence education policy, have an input into the Northern Ireland curriculum and participate in a number of educational bodies.

We work across the formal and informal youth and education sector, sharing our passion for birds and wildlife with nursery groups, schools, teacher training and agricultural colleges, youth and community groups and other bodies.  We offer curriculum-linked field teaching at sites across Northern Ireland, carry out teacher training workshops and support teachers with materials, ideas and information in support of key conservation themes.
