Gannet and chick on Bass Rock

A family favourite, and easily the best place in England to see, hear and smell seabirds! More than 200,000 birds at any one time (from April to August) make the cliffs seem alive with adults bringing food to their nests, or young chicks making their first faltering flights.

Opening times

The reserve is open at all times. Visitor Centre open daily March - October 10 am to 5 pm. November - February 9.30 am to 4 pm. Closed Christmas week.

Entrance charges

Entry is free of charge to members. Charge for non-members is £3.50 per car, mini-bus £6 and coach £8.
