By train
Get off at the Berney Arms Station for Berney Marshes. You are surrounded by the reserve. Follow the footpath signs south-east and you will get to the office. For Breydon Water, get off at Great Yarmouth and follow the Wherrymans Way long-distance footpath on the northern side of the estuary. Check connections on National Rail Enquiries website, or phone 08457 484950. The service is operated by National Express East Anglia.
By road

Other ways to get to the reserve
Access by boat is possible from the River Yare by mooring near the Berney Arms Windmill. Access by foot is possible by either walking from Great Yarmouth along the northern side of Breydon Water, or by following the public footpaths from Halvergate and Reedham. All of these routes are a minimum of 3.75 miles (6 km) one way.
