Viewing points
One hide at Burgar Hill (grid ref: HY344257), turn west up the sign posted track which leaves the A966 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Evie at HY357265.
Nature trails
The hide on Burgar Hill is accessible to the disabled and wheelchair users. Much of the reserve's best bird life can be easily viewed from a car on the hillside road (B9057) which runs between Evie and Dounby.
Educational facilities
The Orkney field teacher uses the reserve and hide for education visits throughout the year.
