About Buckenham Marshes

Buckenham Marshes is a traditionally managed grazing marsh with large numbers of breeding wading birds, and ducks and geese in winter. The reserve also often boasts the only regular winter flock of bean geese in England (November to February), together with white-fronted geese and up to 10,000 wigeons.

If you are new to birdwatching...

Buckenham Marshes is good for those new to birdwatching in autumn and winter only. Large numbers of wintering birds can be easily viewed from October through to March. Guided walks for beginners are also available in these months.

Dogs are only allowed on public footpaths and bridleways
