: There is only limited parking on the verge of the road. Access to the reserve is marked by the RSPB sign on the farmer's gate and by walking across the corner of the private field to the reserved entrance.

There's a circular trail which has some relatively steep sections and some steps.
Nearby facilities
The nearest refreshment facilities are on the A361 between Knowle and Spreacombe, from coffee and snacks to full meals. The nearest public toilets are in Braunton (two miles south of Chapel Wood) and Woolacombe (three miles north-west). Both are open 24 hours, all year round (unless vandalised!).
