Today it has been 12 months since I first visited RSPB Conwy and just a short time from joining the RSPB due to this site. I know this as it's also me and Pam's first year together after meeting there - we met there as somewhere nice to meet up.
Little did we know then that we both had a hidden love of all things related to birds and there habitats, including all the bugs that they depend on... we have spent many a happy time here and wander around when work allows. The sights change from day to day...OK, sometimes the birds are out in the estury some days, leaving the place almost deserted... but there is always something else moochin around if you sit and wait.
In fact in some ways after speaking to others coming here for holidays we are spoilt... some of the wildlife here seen every day by us is new to a lot of people, I think we forget this at times. Enjoy every day no matter what the weather - you never know what's in the next five mins or just round the next bush... thanks.

This was our first visit to Conwy. New to bird watching, the team there were fantastic. A warm welcome eager to help in anyway, exactly what you really need when you're new to what nature has to offer. Would personally like to thank them, bought my first pair of binoculars there. Had an amazing day. The team and the reserve have the wow factor, will return again! THANK YOU ALL

This was our first visit to an RSPB reserve. Although I take part every year in the Big Garden Birdwatch and have always had a love of wildlife and birds in particular, this was the first opportunity I have had to visit a site. It was a really lovely experience. My son and I were able take a relaxing walk, although the weather had been bad, it was a really good afternoon and we were able to leave my husband, who is disabled, in the cafe enjoying a great coffee and homemade cake. We will be back and also plan to visit other sites when we able. Thank you to all the friendly and helpful staff.

We don't know much about birds but there were friendly RSPB volunteers who showed us what to look out for. They made us feel very welcome. I would recommend Conwy to anybody who wants to enjoy their day out and see interesting wildlife. The cafe is lovely too.
