How to get here

By train

Wombwell and Swinton are both 3 miles (5 km) away. There are regular connections to Doncaster.

By bus

A number of buses run from Wombwell and Swinton stations and stop near the entrance to Old Moor nature reserve. Buses also run to the reserve from Barnsley, Doncaster and Meadowhall. Please check with bus operator Traveline on 01709 515151 for further information.

By road

Old Moor is just off Manvers Way (A633). From the M1, take junction 36 then follow the A6195. From the A1M, take junction 37 then follow the A635 towards the A6195.

Other ways to get to the reserve

The best way to access Bolton Ings is from Old Moor, which is next to the national Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) cycle and walking route. There is ample cycle storage on the reserve and it is easy to walk to other Dearne Valley reserves from Old Moor. Simply walk onto the TPT and follow the blue signs.
